Rodent

I found a special friend today
I don't want him to get away
I keep him in my old shoebox
With a couple of worn out socks
He can scamper up my leg
But to keep him I'll have to beg
Mom oh mom please let him stay
I promise to feed him everyday
And will keep him from getting out
Please oh please don't make me pout
Wait what's that I can I can
Around the room so fast I ran
With joy and cheer for mr mouse
Who now lives in his own house
