Demon

Shredded memories awake my rest
My heartbeat ripping open my chest
It was but a dream, a false moment
Nothing more don't dwell upon it

The sky of night had gone away
The darkness lit but with a hue of gray
Shrouded by the shadows at hand
In there stood a statued man

He came at me with sheer will
His eyes burning in me still
His mouth trembled but before he spoke
I was terrified in shock and I awoke
