Penny
Did you ever find a lucky penny
Just laying there on the ground
Hoping, waiting, wanting to be found
To shine down luck upon its finder
Even if just a days worth, or two
The single cent, shining copper, well
Not really, now it's mostly zinc
Since 1982 that is,
Copper got to be worth too much, well
More than a pennies worth that is
But I digress for luck be what it brings
To the fortuitous soul that wanders by
And just from a glimpse something catches his eye
Good news today, smile bright, come what may
Transferred luck is soon to be on its way
