Ride

Once upon a day of crashing, while I think of prices slashing
The market takes a toboggan ride, portfolios plummet plucked dry
Playing like a master at chess, picking stocks by more than a guess
Does Gordan Gecko measure success, taking the biggest piece of the pie
Think of the children, the jobless, the homeless, who will be their ally
Not the greed is good guy

The interest rates are cut to the lowest, federal action is the slowest
The world reacts and sighs, capitalist cower and cry
Sulking sullenly filled with stress, Obsessing obsessively oh what a mess
Why oh why did we spend in excess, we thought it was all on the sly
But don't worry for the market progress, we all know she's not shy
It will return to new highs

About

Hi folks, I'm a software development manager. I've worked with computers most of my life. I write a poem a day about whatever strikes my fancy. I hope they make you smile.
