Leap
Into the dim cave I descended forth.
Stepping gently with my bag fully packed.
Led by the firelight lit from my torch.
Coming to a gap where the floor had cracked.
Deciding which way to continue on.
My path split with a schism of a choice.
What route do I know will bring me new dawn.
"Hello?" I respond to air from my voice.
Had a traveller been here before me?
Standing in this very predicament.
Can I learn from all that the past does see?
If handed a clue will I take the hint?
I take my turn and leap across the gap...
Life lesson learned there is no turning back!
